Watch advice thread number 1,327,402 - everyday wear in the $1k plus range.

So Iím looking for something for everyday casual wear to round out the collection. Not a beater, as I have a Casio Gshock for that. Looking to stay in the $1k range, but could go as high as $2k for the right watch. Preowned.

    - Automatic movement
    - on a bracelet
    - light and thin. So likely no chronos.
    - 40mm+
    - prefer a dive bezel.

I think Iíve narrowed my search to either an Oris 65 or Sinn 104.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks all.

I recommend taking a look at the Omega Seamaster 2531.80. It currently sells for $1500 to $2000 pre-owned. It's an icon and a classic.

This is great way to go, but if you're looking for brand new the Oris is hard to beat in this category.

You'd have to add a mesh bracelet though

You could get a Monta Oceanking or Skyquest for $1750-1950 new, or closer to $1500 used. 40.7mm and 12mm thick

Look at the Damasko DA4x line. My DH 1.0 has usurped my wrist time, and I don't feel guilty letting the others languish.

DA47 w/ 1-11 bezel would be my choice, but.there's something for most, DA42-47.

I don't have a specific watch to recommend but have you considered looking for something in titanium if weight is a priority?

I tried on at a Certina DS Action in titanium last week and couldn't believe how light it was. Didn't buy it, but I couldn't help but think how nice it'd be to wear something that just disappears on the wrist like that.

The one I looked at was a precidrive quartz model, but they might make an auto as well (pretty sure they used to).
