    Watch Box

While down in the Middle East I picked up an interesting box and am thinking about turning it into a home made watch box. I figure it shouldn't be too hard to make some dividers and pillows, maybe a little cushioning for the inside of the lid. I will attach a couple of pictures below as well. I'm sure someone has done this sort of thing before. Does anyone have any suggestions, or thing that have or have not worked previously?

Gorgeous box! You should be able to do it with some careful cutting of foam. There's a guy called the "Martinator" who makes some pretty cool laser cut foam inserts for various pelican boxes. You might look at some of his work for inspiration. If you want to do something a bit more refined, you can probably do something similar with some covered plywood and miniature pillows. Good luck and please do share the results with us.

You could go to your local lumber yard, pick up a length of 1/4 x 2-1/2"slat of wood, pine or oak. Lay it out to do a grid pattern, mark and notch them 1/2 way down and press together, then stain it.

Buy some watch pillows, or pick up a long section of round foam 2-1/2 to 3" in dia. and slice out a bunch of homemade pillows, perhaps the plumbing dept. at Home Depot or a pool supply store (those long float things), if the dia. is small enough.

Nice box and a fun little project.
