Watch changes date at midday - can't figure out how to fix

    Hi all,

I purchased my first nice watch earlier this year, a Stowa Marine Automatic with date.

When it arrived from Germany (I am in Sydney) the date is set to change at midday.

Can anyone provide some simple instructions for a watch noobie on how to fix this?

I believe it has a swiss 2824-2 movement?

    Cheers
    Christian

    Good day mate

    1. Pull the crown to third position (time setting) and rotate the crown to move hands 12h ahead.
    2. Push the crown to 1st position (winding)
    3. Pull the crown again but to the intermediate 2nd position (date setting) and rotate the crown 30 days ahead - if you rotate in one direction and nothing happens, rotate backward.
    4. Push the crown to 1st position (winding) and you are good to go.

As long as you bought it from a legitimate AD, Stowa should fix this under warranty.

You will probably find that the watch came with an instruction booklet which tells you how to adjust it, but Orex, has covered it all for you.

In the morning, set the watch to six o'clock. It doesn't matter at this point if the watch thinks it's AM or PM - that'll be taken care of later. Next, set the DATE to one day before the current date. Then advance the TIME until the date changes. Finally, advance the TIME until it is correct, being careful not to advance past 12:00. If you do this same procedure after noon instead of in the morning, you will have to advance the time past 12:00, then set it to the correct time. I hope this helps!

Don't worry about it. My co-worker asked me the same question.
