    Laughing watch expert,watch me

Hello, everyone. I'm a student in switzerland. I'd love to buy a watch for my father and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.
My budget is only 500-1000sfr, and I'd like to choose mechanical, long dimension.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me. Thank you very much.

Is there any good choice for Longines in that price?

I believe you should be able to get something from the conquest line, but with a quartz movement.

At the 500 Swiss Francs level, Steinhart, Hamilton, Seiko SARBs

At the 1000 Swiss Francs level, my first thought--assuming we're going for a semi-formal type of watch, was Stowa.
The Antea and the Marine line both come in at your price point (about), and Stowa will custom engrave cases, rotors, or gears, which would make the watch extra special.
I don't own either, but I've seen the antea in real life, and was blown away.
    Antea - STOWA GmbH & Co.KG

    Marine - STOWA GmbH & Co.KG

    - Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.

    Current collection:
Oris Big Crown Pointer Date (in red!) | Oris Artix Date | Glycine Airman DC-4 GMT | Christopher Ward C60 600 White Trident | Poljot Journey Chronograph | Bernhardt Corsair GMT | Nth Naken Renegade | Hamilton Jazzmaster Square | Citizen Grand Classic | Kronaby Apex | Seiko Save-the-Ocean Samurai | Prometheus Jellyfish Yellow | Spinnaker Bradner | Heimdallr Bronze Turtle (6309 Homage) | Seiko SSC509 Solar World Time Quartz Chronograph | Undone Modern Chrono | Bulova UHF Military 96B229 | Raketa "Big Zero" |
