As many readers have deduced, yesterday’s Invicta Sub Aqua Noma III Watchuseek collaboration may have been a little fantastical, however, Hublot and the Watch Gallery really have joined forces once again to create the Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Aerofusion, and this hasn’t anything to do with April Fools.
It follows on from the success of last year’s two Classic Fusion limited edition models. The new watch is powered by the brand’s HUB1155 movement and is limited to just 25 pieces worldwide. It’s available only through The Watch Gallery’s Hublot outlets.
Housed within a 45mm polished and satin-finished titanium case, the timepiece boasts a vertical satin-finished black ceramic bezel and a polished titanium crown. The dial of the watch is polished and faceted with rhodium-plated appliques and hands, and highlights the Watch Gallery’s blue-coloured lacquered counter rings. The hands of the watch are polished, rhodium-plated and are also blue in colour.
The watch comes on a semi-mat black alligator leather strap which is sewn onto black rubber, with vibrant blue stitching. The clasp is polished and satin-finished with a steel deployment buckle. The case-back is produced in satin-finished titanium with the engraving “SPECIAL EDITION, XX/25”.
This is the fifth exclusive collaboration watch witth The Watch Gallery; other models have been created with Bell & Ross, Zenith and Bremont, as well as Hublot’s previous Chronograph and Automatic versions, launched in 2014.
The watch retails for £12,500, and the 25 piece collection will be available from 1st April 2015 at Selfridges, Oxford Street, The Watch Gallery Westfield London, Selfridges Manchester Exchange Square and online at the watchgallery.com.
