A Watch Gallery exclusive: Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Aerofusion

As many readers have deduced, yesterday’s Invicta Sub Aqua Noma III Watchuseek collaboration may have been a little fantastical, however, Hublot and the Watch Gallery really have joined forces once again to create the Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Aerofusion, and this hasn’t anything to do with April Fools.

It follows on from the success of last year’s two Classic Fusion limited edition models. The new watch is powered by the brand’s HUB1155 movement and is limited to just 25 pieces worldwide. It’s available only through The Watch Gallery’s Hublot outlets.

Housed within a 45mm polished and satin-finished titanium case, the timepiece boasts a vertical satin-finished black ceramic bezel and a polished titanium crown. The dial of the watch is polished and faceted with rhodium-plated appliques and hands, and highlights the Watch Gallery’s blue-coloured lacquered counter rings. The hands of the watch are polished, rhodium-plated and are also blue in colour.

The watch comes on a semi-mat black alligator leather strap which is sewn onto black rubber, with vibrant blue stitching. The clasp is polished and satin-finished with a steel deployment buckle. The case-back is produced in satin-finished titanium with the engraving “SPECIAL EDITION, XX/25”.

This is the fifth exclusive collaboration watch witth The Watch Gallery; other models have been created with Bell & Ross, Zenith and Bremont, as well as Hublot’s previous Chronograph and Automatic versions, launched in 2014.

The watch retails for £12,500, and the 25 piece collection will be available from 1st April 2015 at Selfridges, Oxford Street, The Watch Gallery Westfield London, Selfridges Manchester Exchange Square and online at the watchgallery.com.

Lots of stuff going on in the dial.

I do like the case and bezel however.

Nobody disputes Hublot technical prowess or quality of finish, but the designs keep getting crazier and crazier. With 100s of limited editions, I almost wonder if they sell these to consumers or just use them purely as promotional items to give out to VIPs and celebs in order to further market\promote the brand.
The date execution is interesting here, but I suspect the whole watch is hard to read from chrono dials to date.

This no classic. And isn't Fusion Aerofusion redundant.

Fer that kinda money the screw heads should line up.

Or maybe they could use hex head or Torx screws to cover up the factt that they didn't care to go to the extra trouble.

I like the case design and the usage of "H" screws. There is a lot of detail on the skeltonized dial that it's kind of unnecessary for it to have numbers.
