    Re: Watch History

Might have been easier to list the watches you haven't owned. Holy smokes!

    That's a lot of G-Shocks!

You've had an amazing variety over the years, that's for sure.

    Re: Watch History

I've gone through even more (200+) but I won't embarrass myself by producing a list--of those, similar to you, have only a handful left--none forum favorites (or perhaps anybody's, as some have suggested) but all very happy to have--thanks for sharing. (OK, I guess your 18+ left is a bit more than a handful...)

A long and esteemed list indeed. I wonder where your present collection stands now. Please share list, and pictures, of watches you hold as on 07/01/2019 for our record. We’ll be obliged.

    Re: Watch History

I've sold/given way 27 watches and currently have 19...so 46 total in about 9 1/2 years. I remember joining WUS to access the sales forum and get a decent work/interview watch. After that I thought I needed a black watch. Then I wanted a fun/quirky watch. Then I wanted a watch that wasn't round. After that it's pretty much a blur....hoping to get down to 6 - 8 by the end of the year. I still have the original screenshot of my "dream collection" gathered from images on grey market sites. Surprisingly its not totally incompatible with the stuff I wound up owning.

Seiko Spring Drive was my wedding watch, Rolex Datejust was my anniversary watch, but I call Oris home.

    Re: Watch History

My list is short enough to type out for the past 30 years.

    Ones I had:

    Casio TRW-XX (can't remember)
    Suunto Vector
    Tissot PRC-200
    Laco Aachen 42
    Vostok Komandirskie
    Steinhart Ocean One 39 Black
    Orient Star Elegant Classic WZ0321EL
    Seiko SARB033
    Vostok Amphibia

    Ones I have now:

    Squale 1521 "Onda Uva"
    Seiko SARX055
    Sinn 104 St Sa I
    Zodiac Sea Dragon
    Laco Leipzig
    Steinhart OVM 39

So 15 watches for me - most of them in the past 3 years. Good news is I'm not crazy about buying affordables that pique my interest (that phase ended within 12 months).
Next watch will probably be a Tudor and then I'll sit happy with my current collection until a Rolex Explorer I is within range.

    Re: Watch History

This is just my opinion and NOT intended to be offensive to any one here but I wonder if the mass flippers and collectors like some of our esteemed peers here would enjoy the ride even more if you said no more often than yes. I canít tell you how many watches I have lusted over that I got over without ever buying them.

    My current collection.
    Itís a mix of stuff.
For example - I love the Daytona, but I donít like wearing. Iíve flipped three of them so Iím not going to sell the one I have now even though I donít really wear it.
I could say the same for the Frogman.
So I guess I would say itís stuff I like - regardless of whether I wear it or not.

Also, over the years Iíve become much more conscious in value and have tended to try more Indy brands like Borealis.
Iíve dabbled with the big guys and in my opinion the value is just not there.
