    Question A watch for kids????

My daughter has been after me to to get her a watch. She's a nine year old and a swimmer. The only ones I can think of are the Baby Gshock or maybe a Swatch of some sort. Anyone else have any other suggestion for a kid's watch?

    Thanks
    Lee

She should not wear a watch while swimming.

    What budget do you have?

Baby G's are supposed to be good.

What about a Casio Pathfinder or a Suunto? They both make some excellent watches.

I recently got a nephew (who's 12) a Tissot T-Touch because he's been wanting one ever since he saw Tomb Raider. So far, he's been taking great care of it, but I think it's just a toy for him (he's afraid of hurting it). But I am not sure it could take the beating of a young lady who spends time in the water!

    It will affect her swimming.

My son is 8 and i bought a seiko 5 sports automatic for him with rubber bracelet. He loves it and really takes care of it. It looks a bit over size on his wrist but in a nice way. Imagine a IWC Big Pilot on a normal adult wrist.

Great thread! I'll be using some of these ideas for my own kid when she's a little older. Right now she seems to only like my watches.

Omega. Planet Ocean or Seamaster 300M.

(Your instincts were spot on with Casio. Baby G or just a more basic G-Shock is a great way to go. If you want her to read analogue, get an anadigi.)
    TAG Heuer Monaco LE|Omega Speedmaster|Seamaster 300MC|Rolex Submariner|Tudor Ranger

How did it get so late so soon?
