    Watch repair advice

    Hi all,
I looked for a forum or sub-forum for this topic, but couldn’t find one. If I missed it, my apologies!

Can anyone suggest an independent or chain store for a watch repair? Or can anyone warn me away from any repair shops?

I have a Victorinox Alpnach Chronograph, and the crown doesn’t work anymore to set the day/date.

    Thank you,
    Rob

    Your location would probably help.

If you don't mind mailing, check with Jason at 'The Tick Tock Shop' in Santa Clara, CA.

    I’m in Chicagoland.

Just remember, a Certified watchmaker may not be cheap, but chances are extremely good they are going to do the job right the first time, and possibly guarantee the work. I hope the quote you get is worth it!

Me too. I’m in a western suburb. The Clock and Watch Shop of Hinsdale is good and reasonable. I know some other members in the northern suburbs that may chime in if that’s closer. And there is one in Chicago that I’ve seen recommended as well. I’ll try to locate it if it would help.
