Watch repair in Seattle/Tacoma area, any suggestions?

So a friend of mine (no, really) knows I am into watches. He has a 3 year old TAG, I believe it is an Aqua Racer. It is losing considerable time, like somewhere around 15 min every few days he said.

Obviously it is in need of service and inspection. Should he take it to the dealer he purchased it from (in this case, Jared's, though he thinks the Jared's he got it at isn't carrying TAG anymore) or should he find an independent repair person?

I believe this watch runs a basic 2824 or base 2824? Any suggestions appreciated!

Jerry's Watch Repair in Seattle was able to fix a microbrand of mine and it came back better and more accurate than when it was new.
