    Watch shopping in London?

    Hi guys,

I a couple of weeks i´ll be in London for a few days.
Anyone can recommend some good used watch dealers around there??
What should i be looking for? Any nice watch places? Besides super expensive watch dealers of course.
    Thanks.

Most of the watch dealers in London are (super) expensive (a 4-years stay in SW London).

Yes I'm afraid Mike is correct. I could have named some places if you were lookignt o spend a lot of money but "cheap" isn't what London "does". That said you are only a train ride away from a few other nice towns and cities where you might have better luck?

Watchfinder & Co have just opened a store in 'The Smoke' if you fancy a pre-owned model and they have a 'name your price' deal on at the moment...however that did not stretch to them accepting my bid of £100 for a Rolex GMT 11

There are many good watch dealers on New Bond Street. Wempe is my favourite. The Bremont boutique on South Audley is not far from New Bond. I'd also suggest Selfridges and Harrods.

Take the tube to Faringdon, turn right out of the exit, cross the main road go up the road opposite and you will be in Hatton Garden, the main Jewellery area of London. There are quite as few shops selling pre-owned watches there, I spent a pleasant hour there this week. Loads of Rolex, Cartier, Tag, AP etc.

Burlington Arcade in London is a must see. Some lovely vintage and second hand watch shops there.

The best shop at the moment for secondhand watches in London is the new Watchfinder boutique right next to the Bank of England in city of London. He has some very nice watches in stock, I was there yesterday looking at IWC 7 day Portugese Ive made an offer on it today ?? Cheers Steve.
