    Watch similar to Ralph Lauren RL67 Chronometer?

    I'm not a big fan of fashion brands but I really love the look of this watch. Unfortunately it is outside of my price range and I don't like to pay double for a brand name.

    Do you know any similar looking watches in the sub $1000 range?

    That Seiko is pretty nice in its own right, but not quite the same look. Still, thanks for sharing, I like it.

    For the record, RL watches aren't "fashion" watches per se and you won't be paying a premium for the RL brand any more than you would an Omega, Breitling or Tag Heuer. It's made to a high standard and is a great watch. I'd definitely buy an RL (IoL I'm looking enviously at you) if I had the money!

    Ok whilst obviously not of the same quality, these are fairly similar;

    I love the RL, such a great looking watch.

    EDIT; In reality they don't look anything like it, but that's probably as close as you'll get.
    That RL is more unique than it looks, just look at the quality of the dial;

    And, yeah, I agree. Anything with a JLC, Piaget, or IWC movement isn't a fashion watch, especially when the designs are original and have a high degree of fit & finish.

    The RL67 Chronometer isn't a fashion watch, either, despite the movement (people's main beef)--the process used to achieve the case finish takes work, and it's a real, quality piece. I've tried the 45mm in person and liked it, but it was just too big. The 39mm is much better.

    Anyway, as for the thread: it will be tough to find a watch similar to the Chronometer under $1,000, if you want the gunmetal look. My guess is that something DLC/PVD coated is what you'll be looking for. A similar dial will be tough to find, so I say save up for the RL.

    It's a pretty unique look. This hammy is the best I can do. Needs a better match for the strap.

    Re: Watch similar to Ralph Lauren RL67 Chronometer?

    I've been searching for a watch in this genre for at least a few years now. I've finally concluded that RGM is probably my best bet. Off the top of my head Domo's suggestion is one of the better choices, but here are a few that are in the sorta / kinda category...what they lack in similarity they might make up in cost:

    Seiko SNK381

    Citizen Promaster:

    Hamilton Pioneer / Pioneer Chrono (actually check Hamilton's website in general):

    Oris BC3 Sportsman (used maybe $600 USD)...I like this one if you're good with the 42mm size:
