The watch that started it all..

Just curious what watch started it all for you? The watch/time piece that made you go, "Yup, I think I'm interested in watches and would like to add a few more to what I have at the moment to enjoy".

This one did it for me. A pawnshop find - a Victorinox Swiss Army quartz watch that I picked up for less than $50. Still have it and still enjoy wearing it - even though I have more than 10 in my rotation since I purchased this

The one that started it for me was the (long gone unfortunately) 1665 DRSD

I can't find mine! I'm desperately looking for it: it is a Sears brand "Tradition" diver-style automatic, circa 1972. Blue sunray dial, blue rotating dive bezel, chrome-plated case. The first watch I owned that I really loved. I'd give a lot to find one!

For me it's an omega speedmaster professional brown dial that I received for my birthday

Was a Victorinox classic chrono for me. Still have it, still wear it when I need a reliable, sturdy quartz.

(Mine actually has the newer Victorinox-branded dial, but you get the idea.)

My dad's 70's Seiko automatic is what got me into watches .

My dad's 1965 Accutron 214. It was the first time I saw a sweeping seconds hand, and I was hooked. He gave it to me when he figured out I was a lot more into watches than he was. Currently getting repaired, but should have it back in the next couple weeks.

I smashed one of these badly while sailing and had to replace it with a G-Shock. This one replaced the dinged Hawk.

Here's the G-Shock, still running strong.

After my Tissot T watch died in 2011 bought a rado, it had no lume.

Found Watchuseek & Ball. Bought the ball & haven't stopped collecting since. I now have a collection of 16 watches & need extensive therapy. I am a addict
