Watch Suggestion for my 40th Birthday

    Hello Everybody ..
Well, I would be more than happy to hear your advise about a brand new watch (1000$-1500$) for my 40 birthday . Looking for Swiss watch only and don’t mind the movement ( mech or quartz )

    Thanks in advance

    Need more detail.

    Size?

    Style? Dress, sporty, GADA?

Functions...diver? chronograph? 3 hander with or without date?

Must it be Swiss? How about German?

    Hello and welcome.
I would like to know if and what other watches you own, also what sort of style you prefer, dress dive chronograph sport etc.
The question is too open to give suggestions.
However under that price limit imho I like the Seiko's sarb and monster. That'll start your research, which is the most important thing, off.

    Just ordered a Glycine.

Oris may be an option as well.
Longine? Perhaps. Of course, I say you should look around first and see what fancies you first and we may help you pick one out of the lot.

If you triple your budget you go from a few nice options to something you will love and that will last the rest of your life... and can be passed on if maintained

If you're open to vintage you could get a cool late 70s piece as a birth-year watch at your price range, which in many ways might be more timeless than anything you could buy within that budget new today ...
