    Which watch and why?

OK, let's pretend these following watches all cost exactly the same so price is not a consideration.

Which of the following would you choose... and why?

    Omega - 424.13.40.20.03.001
    OMEGA Watches: Prestige Co-Axial

    Nomos - Club dunkel 704
    NOMOS Glashuette

    Nomos - Ludwig 33 anthrazit 246
    NOMOS Glashuette

    Longines - L2.755.5.77.7
L2.755.5.77.7 - The Longines Master Collection - Watchmaking Tradition - Watches - Longines Swiss Watchmakers since 1832

All thoughts very much appreciated! Thanks xx

I dig the style of that first Nomos you posted. The Longines is not my style at all, personally don't like it

    Re: Which watch and why?

I'm not liking the two tone on the Longines. So that's out.

The Omega is nice. Great dial. Respected company. I'm not loving the placement of the date complication, however. I think it'd bother me over the long run.

I own a 34 mm watch, it's about as small as I'd go. Personally, so I'd probably rule out the 33 mm Ludwig. Though that is a great watch, from everything I've heard.

In the end, through the process of elimination (and also because it's my favorite of the choices), I'd go with the Club. Works as a sport watch, but is classy enough to get you through formal events. From what I've seen and heard, Nomos is an amazing company - I get the sense that they love watches and the art of watch making. And they have a sense of humor about it.

In reality, none for me. Both Nomos are nearly there, but I don't like the sub-dial eating in the space where the markers should be.

    Re: Which watch and why?

The Nomos Ludwig would be ruled out for be, based on size alone. 33mm is pretty tiny for a men's watch.
The Longines would be out for me as well, simply because I dislike two-tone watches. If it was all steel (I'm sure such a model exists) I would consider it.

For me, the choice would be between the Nomos Club and Omega DeVille, and my choice, if price wasn't a factor, would depend on where I was planning on wearing the watch.
The Club is basically an all-purpose watch. It can dress up or dress down, and look good in either situation.
The DeVille is more strictly just a dress watch, I don't think I would wear it casually.

Have you considered the Omega Aqua Terra 8500? It seems like you're looking for a dressy watch, and the AT can dress up and look great, but can still be worn casually and not look out of place. I'd choose it over the DeVille for that reason.

These answers and explanations are all extremely helpful, thank you.

To be honest I think the Longines is my least favourite too, but I've been keeping it as an option as I think it would be the one my husband might instinctively choose... However I'm not letting that sway my decision
