    Watch for Wifey

My wife has a bi metal rolex datejust, but wants to change it cos its a little small and has trouble 'reading' it.

Can anyone make suggestions for a 'bigger' ladies/small gents for around the second hand value of the Datejust (guessing approx £1200)

    doesn't have to be new

p.s. she is not a girly girly - and probably err's on the sportier side. TBH waterproof enough to swim would be a big draw

A little out of your price range.. but how about a 38mm ceramic J12?

From personal experience it looks devastating with the proper swim attire ;)

Plenty of Japanese watches that would suit you leaving some cash over for your next purchase ()
A rolex is not easy to beat in the sporty departement, they certainly can take a beating.
    Check out Sinn watches. ( www.sinn.de )

I guess you are looking on approx 38mm diameter?

If she happens to like the Channel J12 you can also look at toywatchusa.com as a channel alternative. Prices range from $200-$500 or something like that.

or one of my fav's is Women's Tag Heuer Formula 1

My wife really likes smaller watches like her Omega Seamaster quartz with the electric blue face and silver bezel. She's gone larger with an Omega mid-sized Bond but keeps coming back to smaller watches. She fancied the Heuer Aquaracer for sometime before the Yachtmaster came into her life (well worth saving up for ).

personally i think full size watches can look really nice on a woman and have recommended this to several friends who were delighted with the large sized watches. one of them even bought an oris bc3 and it looks stunning on her.

I'm not sure she's ready for a 44mm one yet but certainly 38mm would be a goer - I had thought of the Omega mid size and I think that is quite a good compromise.

She'd I'd love one of the JLC white Master Compressors - but just a bit out of range even 2nd hand.
