Question Watches under $2500 using ETA 2892

    Hello,

As the title states; I am inquiring as to what watches under $2,500 utilize the ETA 2892 movement. I realize that there are several different grades and modifications to the movement, but I would like some ideas on what is available in the aforementioned price range. Also, please give me your opinions on the best watch fit/finish/modifications within this range (if you haven't gotten the hint- i'm looking to buy ).

For about $700 bucks you can buy a case kit, movement, lume, and strap and put it together yourself.

I believe RGM 151P can be had for $2350 or so from watchseller (AD) and I think that has Top grade 2892.
I THINK you can get Maurice Lacroix masterpiece with 2892. You MAY be able to get the Grand Guichet (large date) version for around $2500 if not cheaper.

I would suggest used considering RGM tend to be difficult to sell second hand and ones in very good condition can be had for about 50% off.

2892 only, or are you open to 2897 and 2895 etc? There are a couple Breitlings on leather straps around your price point.

The MKII LRRP MilSub uses a 2893-2 with the gmt feature removed, this is essentially a 2892, for approx. $1,000

    Oris
    caliber 665 = ETA 2892-A2
    caliber 667 = ETA 2897
    caliber 668 = ETA 2893-2
    caliber 623 = ETA 2895-2

    Omega
    caliber 1108, 1120, 1128 = ETA 2892-A2
    caliber 2500, 2627, 2628 = ETA 2892-A2 retrofitted with the co-axial escapement

The Tiffany's Mark SS watches are also highly refinished ETA 2892-A2 ebauches, but are just a tad more than your $2500 limit.

Or a Seiko that is every bit as good for $200 and looks the same (on left)

Loads of 2892's available at this price. Tag Carrera Twin Time uses the GMT variant. Lots of the Longines Master Collections as well. Maurice Lacroix should have some as well.

Cheapest I can think of is probably Longines Flagship. I got mine for under $900 MSRP.
