You need to buy yourself a cheap demagnetizer if it keeps on happening.

Throw the ipad away, watches always come first.

Are you using the logitec keyboard accessory? Asking because I have recently purchased the Pro and the key accessory for my wife. She loves it but I haven't used it yet. I use an Acer mini laptop or my ancient hp G72 on my desk.

Hopefully this hasn't happened more than once. Just take your watch off while keyboarding.

A Swatch Sistem51 has the same antimagnetic properties as the newer Omega movements.

    Re: watches vs iPads

Wow, interesting. I use an ipad pro with a smart keyboard regularly for “couch surfing” and haven’t had a problem. I also frequently wear mechanical watches in recording studios around monitor speakers, ribbon microphones (with very powerful magnets), guitar amps, computers, power conditioners, etc. Many engineers and musicians I know do as well. Knock on wood, mine all keep great time +/- a few sec/day, so the thought of them being magnetized so easily that typing on an ipad would be a concern has never even crossed my mind. Now that the seed of paranoia has been planted, however, I may have to alter my habits!
