    Watches and weddings!

As we're getting to the tail end of summer AKA Wedding Season, I thought I'd share a fun watch pic from my own wedding back on 7/28!

I picked up this Rolex Datejust 41 ref. 126334 with fluted bezel and rhodium dial from private seller on TRF for the big day. My now-wife was THRILLED I was spending even more money

As you can tell, gray was the main color of our event, so the rhodium dial looked awesome in the sun with my light gray tuxedo. Needless to say, I won't ever be flipping this one!

Anyone else's watches make it to a fun wedding this summer?

That's awesome! Great picture, and congrats on the wedding.

My wedding watch (almost 20 years ago) was a Citizen Eco-Drive world timer/chronograph/kitchen sink in titanium, which back then was the height of my horological world. I rarely wear it now (well, also the capacitor or whatever stores the charge crapped out). There are probably a few pictures (on film) but I honestly can't remember.

Congratulations! Not married yet, but I got engaged in May; the wedding is in March next year. My fiancé asked what watch I would like as a wedding gift and she purchased for me a Breitling Avenger GMT. It’ll be in the safe until the wedding day but it’s worth the wait.

Thanks! That's great you still have the eco-drive!

That's awesome, congratulations! Seems like you're marrying a keeper. I've been giving my wife a hard time asking where my wedding gift watch is. She tells me my gift was her!

Thank you! She definitely sets the bar high but I appreciate her letting me continue on in this obsession! May have to set a deal - a new watch for every five pairs of shoes!

I’d have to bring the wedding forward, It would drive me insane knowing that I couldn’t wear it.
