Pen Watches you've made? or Watches that made you!

I might start this thread to exchange interesting incidents people've had with their watches. Some bring good luck, other's might get you engaged in conversations...

An interviewer got interested in the blue dial watch, and instead of interviewing me on the subject matter, had a 45 min conversation on how to make watches. Not to mention, I landed the job!

Latest project. Needed a lot of patience and waiting for custom parts, stem extenders, etc to arrive....but looks good (to me anyway)!

Have assembled a few watches from parts, never actually “made a watch” from scratch

I wanted a used Datejust, but, could not find one that I really liked. SO, I just made my own. I bought all the individual parts - except the gold bezel and hands which I took off an old Tudor - from eBay.
The case is from year 1991 and the cal 3135 movement from about 1992 and all parts are genuine.

Where did you get the dial?

I am looking for dials with sub eye at 3, 6, 9. I want to make a watch with 3836 movement, but dials are impossible find for that one
