Week 2 of Voting! WUS Top 100 Watches (First 11 Watches Revealed)

Hopefully seeing which watches made the top 11 will spur a little more interest and controversy.

In rough order of most votes to least votes, here are the first 11 watches of the WUS Top 100 Watches. Voting will continue, you can continue to vote for the same watches as before and they will count towards the total vote.

    1. Omega Speedmaster Professional

    And seemingly appropriate, R.I.P. Neil

    2. Rolex Submariner

    No surprises here.

    3. Omega Planet Ocean

    4. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

    5. JLC Reverso

Hope no one minds that I lumped all Reversos into one. If you have a strong opinion about this please post below.

    6. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (Offshore)

Again, hope no one minds that I lumped the RO and ROO into one. I couldn't research any difference other than material, price, and slight variations in styling.

    7. A. Lange and Sohne Lange 1

    8. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra

    9. IWC Portuguese

    All about those blue hands.

    10. Zenith El Primero

Experts on Zenith, please give me a little advice here. I've counted some El Primeros separate (Stratos Flyback, Striking Tenth, and 36'000). Would it be fair to just lump all the El Primeros in one?

    11. Rolex Sea-Dweller

Similar to the Sub for sure... I think it's a different enough watch, particular the Deep Sea-Dweller

    And a no picture list

    1. Omega Speedmaster Professional
    2. Rolex Submariner
    3. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean
    4. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms
    5. Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso
    6. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak [Offshore]
    7. A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1
    8. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra
    9. IWC Portuguese
    10. Zenith El Primero
    11. Rolex Sea-Dweller
    12-100. ???

With 89 spots left, keep voting! Should I release a list of watches that almost made it? The top 10 that aren't on this first 11?

Again voting rules are that you can list as many or as little watches as you want. Also, I released a Top 11 because 11 the top 11 received a good amount of votes so it was a natural cut off point.

For this round, I'm going to make a push for some affordables, because everything in this top 11 is out of my price range.

I go (for the more affordables)

    Stowa Antea
    Citizen BM6400
    Hamilton Khaki Field
    Seiko SKX007
    Vostok Amphibia
    Citizen Skyhawk
    Orient Mako

    and another plug for

    Patek Philippe Nautilus
    Omega Seamaster 300M
    Rolex Daytona
    Sinn U1
    Sin 556
    Rolex Milgauss

Oh..this is going to be fun!! How do we vote?

If you're going to put stowa on the list, which is a good idea, then I propose that you put Nomos as well which is similar in style, but more expensive.

This is kinda cool! I must have missed the original thread. Good choices all above, a tad heavy on the Omegas maybe, though this forum is gaga for Omega for certain. Not sure how to vote, here's my top list if that matters.

Rolex Sub (most mimicked watch around, period.)
    Omega Speedmaster
    Patek Phillipe Calatrava
    Blancpain FF
    Omega Seamsaster
    Grand Seiko "Snowflake"
    Panerai Luminor
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (and ROO)
    IWC Portuguese
    TAG Heur Monaco
    Rolex Datejust
    JLC Reverso
    Breguet Type XX
    A Lange & Sohne Lange 1
    Zenith El Primero Split Seconds
    Patek Phillipe Nautilus
    Breitling Navitimer
    IWC Big Pilot
    Seiko SARB
    Hamilton Pan Europ
    DOXA
    Citizen Campanola Grand Complications
    RGM 101
    Panerai Radomir
    Glashutte Original
    Rolex DSSD
    TAG Heur Grand Carrera
    Cartier Tank
    Hublot Big Bang
    Rolex Milgauss
    Breitling Super Ocean Heritage
    IWC Aquatimer
    Longines Hydroconquest
    Victorinox SA Airboss
    Tissot Vissodate
    Raymond Weil Freelancer
Baume & Mercier Capeland Flyback Chrono

I'm absolutely positive I am missing a few, but these popped into my head immediately, which may be a good way to pick. Good luck with this!

    1. Patek Calatrava - gotta get that on the list

Great top 10, but where's Grand Seiko. I'd put Grand Seiko within the top 5, we love it here. I geuss it could be 12 then. Also you might want to change ROO to RO, I know you included both, but the RO is much more popular.

    and my next 5 are:
    1. GRAND SEIKO!!!!
    2. Christopher Ward (you asked for more affordable, everyone says "under 1k I'd go CW"
    3. Hamilton
    4. Glashutte Original Senator
    5. Nomos

    Tudor Black Bay Black

I think you have to have a Monaco on there and the Paul Newman Daytona. Everyone seems to own a G-Shock but I'm not sure it's anyone's favorite.
