What can I do about poor performance on this forum?

The performance on this forum is horrible for me. I'm on a cable provider and most other sites respond almost immediately. When I'm leaving another site and click on Watchuseek, it usually takes at least a full minute for the home page to fully load to the point where I can navigate. Then I pick a forum and wait at least another 30 seconds for that to load. Then pick a thread and wait some more. It's almost unusable compared to other forums that I visit. Is there some setting I can adjust to speed things up? I like this forum a lot but don't visit as much as I'd like to because it takes forever.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Try opening Watchuseek on Safari or Mozilla Firefox , instead of IE. I find the sites quicker to load using these browsers.

+1. I swap between Chrome and Safari (dependent on whether I'm on Mac, or VAIO).
And I've got nothing to report as far as slow browsing goes.

    cheers,

I'll probably end up switching from IE, but I'm still wondering why everything else runs fine but WUS is so terribly slow. Seems like something that should be fixable.

I have no problems at all with IE9 or Opera. Occasionally, it does take a second or two for the WUS database to populate the threads but barely noticeable. Make sure there isn't some setting that's flushing the cache each time you close the browser or leave the page, maybe that would help.

You are going to need the latest version of Internet Explorer for best performance. If you are using XP as your operating system then you don't have the option to get IE9 and you should try another browser and see if that helps. Right now I'm using Firefox 8.0 and XP and I can load any forum page in under 10 seconds.
We have had some Javascript issues on the server side and our tech team is working on it. Servers are based in Europe and the Internet speeds can sometimes be another problem.
