What details have become deal-breakers for you?

As my obsession has grown, I've become a stickler about certain details that used to fly below the radar.

Case in point: mismatched date wheels. When I first started getting into watches, a mismatched date wheel wasn't much of an issue for me.

For instance, I had previously planned on acquiring the black version of the ball fireman glory. Clean dial, great bracelet, tritium tubes - it checked a lot of boxes. But now, I can't get past the white date wheel that stands out like a sore thumb. (My apologies for any toes that I've stepped on).

I can't be alone here. What previously minor details have now become deal-breakers?

Short hands for me. The one negative I see now on Sinn UX or 556.

    Smudginess of outer AR

    Thicker watches

    Bracelet with no micro adjustment

I actually like three date windows, but a 4 o’clock date widow has killed several watches for me that I would have really liked otherwise.

mechanical watches that deviate by more than -4/+6 a day.
    unfinished movements that are visible
brands that are associated with clothing
brands that play the MSRP value game *cough Invicta*

Inclusion of a date window. Ultimate sin of including date with cyclops. Chopped off numbers are pretty irritating (read: would never own) too.
