What do I need to complete my collection?

Hey fellow WUS members, looking for your thoughts and opinions on a dilemma I知 having. I知 trying to dial in my collection to 6 pieces that cover a range of uses and I love to wear. Here痴 the current state...

From left to right: SKX009, 36mm Explorer, Speedy Pro, 16700 GMT, vintage Titoni Super Star (gift from the mrs.), 2201.50 Planet Ocean.

I feel like I知 close, but there痴 a couple holes- one, I壇 really like a versatile white dial watch like a Nomos Tangente, but am open to other ideas.

Also, having the GMT, I find I rarely wear the PO anymore and am not sure I need a 電ressy diver at all. The SKX doesn稚 get much love anymore either because if I want a pop of bezel color, it痴 the GMT again.

That said, a sub $1k diver that I don稚 have to worry about too much might be a good addition. Maybe an Squale 1521, SKX031 or 62mas homage watch? I love the new reissue, but not the asking price.

So what do you think? Flip the PO and the SKX to fund a white dial and a beater diver Other ideas? Appreciate any and all thoughts!

Replace the SKX with the SLA017

And get a G-Shock for the rough stuff

My first thought was a Nomos Club...just a touch of whimsy. That's gotta mean the Tangente's right in the ballpark.

    Marine might be another option.

Perhaps the white dial Seamaster Aqua Terra 38?

I think you're on the right track and kudos for such an excellent and extensive collection already

Fancy the idea of dress watch with lighter dial and do dig that Nomos a great bit.

I will throw in the suggestion of a Pilot. Alpina or Laco Kiel may do the trick <$1000, and/or possibly add a white dial Mark XVIII or GO Senator for >$1000.

I do fancy this advice, too (and the watch). Also for <$1000, look at the SBDC051

I just ordered one of these to balance my similarly sport watch heavy collection

I would either: (1) trade the PO and add cash towards a JLC Ultra Thin/Reverso; or (2) get a Nomos Tangente (but look at the Orion and Ludwig too).

Nice collection! For the SKX, would you consider modding it? I already have a big pile of dive watches, so I don't really need my SKX to fill that role at all. What I did not have is a somewhat mil-style bead blasted watch, so I turned my SKX007 into that with a Yobokies smooth bezel, AR coated double dome sapphire, steel chapter ring, and Seiko SARB059 dial and hands. It completely transforms the look, and it's one of my favorite watches to wear. Alternatively, since you're not feeling the price tag on the SLA017, how about the SBDC051 or 053? Of the two I think the black and blue Prospex versions are better looking, and they are like 1/4 the price. If you don't mind the 6R15 movement, they are very compelling watches. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the hands, but a Marine Master hand swap would be cake.

Re: What do I need to complete my collection?

Immediately I thought "something with a lighter dial", and a dressier price wouldn't hurt to balance the sport watch-heavy collection you have.

The nomos seems right, then. Maybe an Orion, or Minimatik? You can hardly go wrong with Nomos.

If you don't wear the PO, then move it I'd say. The SKX is a must imho, as every collection needs one! Perfect beater watch.

Then again I don't know you or your style. Maybe a dressier watch isn't "you". If that's the case I'm always partial to the white 16570...
