At Chrono24 I´ve found a watch that I want to buy from A. Grimmeissen Uhren in Germany. I´ve been looking for reviews about the seller but haven´t really succeded in finding any.
Does any of you know about this seller? Pro´s and Con´s?
I bought from them once back in 2011 or early 2012.
Transaction value of around USD 2,500 which was paid via a bank wire transfer.
Prompt communication and prompt shipment from Germany to Hong Kong, no complaints here.
The watch was described as in very good condition and it looked in good condition when I received it however it was running several minutes fast per day.
There is however a very high probability that it got magnetised in transit and a quick zap with a demagnetiser would have fixed it. I chose to send it for manufacturer overhaul service rather than trying to get it demagnetised or following up with Grimmeissen on their offered warranty hence I cannot comment on how their after sales service would have been. That was my choice though in absence of service history which was also clearly stated by the seller other than the watch was checked out by their watch maker.
So based on that experience, I would buy from them again.
It ended up with a buy. I bought a Rolex Datejust Medium 31 mm from 2014. I´ll give it to my wife on her birthday. I hope she´ll appreciate the gift even though she doesn´t share my interest in watches.
Have a great day!
