What do you think is the best all rounder, every occassion watch?

    Hi,

Just like to get all your opinions on what you think the best watch is in everyday life-not a beater, but a nice all rounder which you would take good care of and would not dare wear working on your car/ out gardening etc.. If you had to have one watch like this, and only ONE, what would it be? Me personally, with price no consideration, would be a Rolex Submariner. It looks good anywhere, even if the occasion is dressy or business attire- and won't look out of place even if you're quickly dropping by the shops. Mainly thinking about something rugged that will suit well in any situation.

    Omega Constellation...

Looks great with everything from jeans to a suit and tie. Not to formal and not too sporty. It's been running +1 sec/day for five years now.

You guys are testing me!!! I just commented on how I am not fond of Rolex because of how they are so often copied, just the site of them makes me crazy. But with that said, I in this case would go with the Explorer as my second choice and Omega Sea master or Speedy as tied for first!!!

Nothing like coming home and being able to go from suit to jeans & a tee without having to take your watch off!!

I know many will balk at the chrono, but I would wear my Sinn 103 anywhere if it was my only watch. I feel the chrono is subtle enough on this, and the watch is not overly "blingy", but still eye catching. Also not something you are going to see everyday, even rarer (for Sinn) with the white face. Boating, Volleyball Tourney or dinner and dancing, IMHO this works at whatever you need.

    All good suggestions.

I think the issue is maybe too sporty vs. too dressy. To get something in between is tough.

The Ball Night Train for me kind of splits the middle. Depending on strap it can be almost anything.

It is simple perfection. Goes well with everything, suits for swimming or suits for work.
