What do you think: Longiness Master Collection Moonphase Retrogade

Hi, I'm looking to get this longiness. Can I get some feedback about this particular movement and from anybody who might have this as well...?

On the fence so I would like any advice that convince me either way. Also posted in the longines forum seeking the best deal, but just wanted a final opinon to make me feel better or decide not to!!

Be aware that repair and or servicing cost will really be up there.

I would try and get to see in the metal before making any decisions.
The watch is thicker than most people realise (7750 based after all) and the dial that looks amazing in renders can sometimes look a little flat.

I still love it, especially now that they've gotten rid of the big pushers.

I've played with that one in person and it was amazing. Many times better looking than in the photos. There are some caveats though. As DM says, this watch is THICK. It makes most divers blush. You're going to want the bigger diameter one (I suspect, I only played with one size) to give it better proportions.

Second, I hate the pushers. You need a little pin, and it does come with one, to set the date etc. I hate the idea of not having all the functionality of my watch available all the time.

There are some perks that no one talks about though. First off, it looks really cool when you pull the crown out to set the time...all the complications instantly pop into their "0" position which is just neat.

Second, this is a true GMT with independent hour hand. Yet, unlike all independent hour hand watches I know of, it does have a quickset date (albeit with a pin, but still).

All said, I recommend it. I think it's a fair price and something really neat.

great watch....better looking in flesh IMO
the bigger size one is better.
servicing should'nt be that big a problem, as its ETA based after all
only two minor issues for me...
    1) the pushers need a pin to control so many complications. needs some skills with a toothpick (or the pin provided) otherwise can get scratched
    2) with so many complications, it should keep ticking. on a winder or on the wrist. if its occasional use watch, then setting all complications everytime you wanna wear with these pushers kinda gets annoying.

otherwise its a very nice watch.

I'd certainly take it... It's one sexy complication watch. I think the fact that is thicker is plus, it gives it a little added masculinity to offset all those complications.

Honestly too many hands clutter. Hour hands should be different than others in shape or color a bit...

As many have said, this is a thick watch. Try it out on your wrist before buying. Also, if you do not have a winder prepared for this, I suggest you get one as well. The hassle of resetting the complications get annoying if you have to do it every time you wear the watch.
