Exclamation What ever happened to Pyrolume?

I'm looking at adding a Pyrolume watch to my collection in the next 4 to 5 months, but haven't seen anything from the doctor lately. Last time he went underground it was because he was working on more designs. Has anyone heard from him lately?

Nope. Sent Doc Foroush an email several months ago about a custom watch and never heard back from him. He's closed his WUS forum, his web site and his eBay store. The last I heard from him was when he repaired a Pyrolume I once owned last June-July. It appears that Pyrolume is no more.

That's a shame. Every time I wrote to him through email he responded with optimism for new models, and he seemed so motivated on where his craftsmanship was going...

That's too bad. They had some of the coolest looking watches out there.

    Sad news indeed.

+1. His designs weren't for everyone, but man, he had several that I thought were killer. I'd love to order a custom Pyrolume (I have one of his orange aviators in a Ti case), but it appears that's not gonna be happening. If you're out there, doc, we'd love to have you back!

Or at the very least, hear from you.

As a recently addicted Lume freak, I appear to be too late in the game to get a new Pyrolume. Does anyone know where I can find a pre-owned Pyrolume watch to buy? I would buy almost any model at this point.

I just bought my first(used) Lum Tec....It's the M33, and it's my new favorite watch!

Check the WUS sales forum, they come up for sale occasionally, search for "pyrolume".

Too many watches, only two wrists and never enough time...

This is why I get worried every time I read one of those threads about someone wanting to begin designing watches and they already have all these plans they've been working with for months. You just know these people are not going to be persuaded to reevaluate before they go through with it, but you are aware how things are likely to end.
