What happens to previous year's model?

Just out of curiosity, anyone knows what Authorized Dealers do with previous year's model when new models come out? Do they ship back to the company? Move to other countries/markets? Remained with the AD to sell?

I believe some get sold to grey market dealers.

They usually stay in the case, yearly model changes are not that drastic. When they are, like a size change, off
to the Gray Market or clearance store.

Thanks for info. One previous model caught my eye and guess I have to look at the gray market channel.
