Three months ago, I bought this PRC 200 for my wife:
I was actually looking for the white-dial version, I knew she'd prefer it, but the AD had this in the case, and I have impulse control issues.
The blue dial, as I should have expected, didn't strike her fancy as an every-day wearer.
"No problem," I said, "I'll just have the AD order the white."
Little did I know getting it on the BRACELET was going to be a monumental headache. Eventually the original sales associate, two managers, and their buyer were involved (all doing yoeman's work...great service), but they could not source a bracelet from Tissot. They did finally, after three months, get one on a white strap, which didn't pass the every-day-wear test either.
Mind you this is Saks Fifth Avenue, not Joe's Watch Emporium.
I tried everything, and so did the team at Saks. Maybe a PRS 200 Steven Stamkos LE? Not so much with the hockey theme (I had to look up who this guy was, too). Would the PRS bracelet fit the PRC (now their in-house jeweler was involved). Nope, different lug lengths.
On a whim, I inquired on the Tissot website if I could purchase a bracelet separately.
I had a response and and order form in less than 24 hours. "The bracelet is in stock."
To make an already long story a little less so, for all my trouble and patience the wonderful lady at Saks gave me a nice discount on the watch and strap, coincidentally almost exactly the cost of the bracelet, which will be here in 7-10 business days.
And this was an impulse buy!
