I have a picture of mine with a 2892 somewhere... it's older and specs change and a 2824 may be used now.

    Hello dakotus

Once you sift through some silly comments you will, in short time, find the answer to your question.
(obviously if you made the effort to ask it, it does make a difference)
I think you are right, I think it does have the val/ETA 2824, but I'm not certain. Someone that knows for sure will tap in and answer that question for you fairly soon, I would think.
The entire B&M classima range is absolutely beautiful, from the plain face to the open hearts and to the chronos, so IMO I love your choice, and that price appears to be about the best a buyer can do on the 8731 as a grey dealer purchase.
I came very close to buying the B&M 8692, but caved to a Maurice Lacroix PT6188 only because I got a great deal.
I still lust for a classima though. It might be my next addition!

    BTW... welcome to the forum

give me a meal which in my mouth dances a tango
...give me a woman who in my bed inspires an encore
......give me a name when called sings of an aria
.........give me a timepiece that does not lose +/- 5 seconds a day!

Thanks for the Welcome Enzo. It should be noted that because I posted that link, doesnt mean I'm paying that price for the watch. It was just an example to show which watch I was referring to. Granted, for the price I paid, its an amazing deal for this piece, too good to pass up.

I agree with you though, the Classimas look fantastic!

How much sifting thru pages did you have to do to find that information? What was your search string? I thought I spent a good amount of time looking on there before writing on WUS.

Well, I was searching for a German description. B&M is very common in Germany so I thought it would be worth a try. There´s a german watch magazine where a lot of watches/movements are listed.
