I'm hoping to get a feel from the Wis community as to what should come next in my collection. Currently, I have a 4 watch collection consisting of..
-Hamilton khaki King 40mm
-Longines MC Chrono
-Grand Seiko SBGA099
The watches I'm eyeing are the JLC Reverso Grande Taille and the Rolex Explorer 39mm.
I understand these are apples and oranges type of watches, and honestly I'd like to have both at some point down the road. But considering what I have, what do you think would fit the best?
Here are my thoughts.
The JLC is dressier and I lack a true dress watch in my collection. I can see this being something of an heirloom that I could engrave and pass down, but It might be more appropriate later in life (I'm only 28 and have no kids yet)
The explorer is more versatile, but it kind of overlaps with my SARG. I'd prefer the new 2016 version which could be more difficult to find. And also I was hoping to pick this up preowned if possible (again could be very hard to find).
So which one would do you think should come next?
Feel free to suggest something else that you think I may have overlooked.
