What's the deal with "Globe" brand swiss movement?

Some movements are labeled "Globe" as if it is a brand, also labeled Swiss at the same time. One example was 15 jewels 2 adjustments...but internet searches for "globe" in association with pocket watches reveal next to nothing, unlike many other brands.

Is Globe a brand? If so, why is there next to no mention of it anywhere?

Is it a good brand? Is a 15 jewel 2 adjustment Globe swiss movement anything special?

I'm surprised I can't find any information on it.

    Thanks.

Is this a new movement or vintage? If the latter you should pose your question along with a picture of one on the Vintage and Pocketwatch forum on WUS. My first suspicion is that the movement and the rest of tbe watch was made as a house brand for a department store or jeweler. The movement could been made by FHF, AS, etc, but relabeled to create an in-house brand.. Very common in the 1940's to 1960's.

Never ever heard. 15 jewels, 2 adjustment does not imply something special, just basic.

Thanks, I just got it on ebay, hasn't arrived yet (or even shipped most likely). I'll follow up when it arrives.

    Cheers!
