    It secures the dial feet, and hence, the dial, to the movement.

    What's that little hook thingee on a 2824?

    Attached is picture of a 2824-2 movement borrowed from prs2dreadnought.com. Can anyone tell me about the hook-like part at the bottom left, just by the rotor edge? I've looked at a number of other pictures and parts diagrams of this movement and can't figure out its function.

    That is a Dial Foot Clamp, Bestfit p/n M/2619, $5.90 each from Jules Borel....
