What's the longest your watch battery has lasted?

I have a Seiko SNA411 chrono thay was bought new in KL (Malaysia) in late 2005. Still going with same battery. Is that a record?

I have previously found batteries last about 4-5 years.

I am sick of the suspense as to when the battery will die, and it's a classy quasi beater (with sentimental value) so I'll get it serviced next week.

The battery in my Rolex Submariner has lasted just over three years.

Absolutely fantastic watches, worth every penny.

I thought it was funny and timely.

Seriously, normal has been 3-4 years, 2005 that's good going.

A rolex sub doesn't have a battery the only quartz model produced was the "oyster quartz" but it was discontinued many years ago.

My dad's old citizen has been ticking on the same battery for 12 years. In that time, most of the gold plating has worn off and it's now a dull bronzy colour.
I'm content with my watch collection

Still running? Must be one of those old Mercury cells. It's chemically superior to the Silver Oxide cell, but environmentalists got the Mercury cells banned.
