    What's missing on mechanical watches?

Just wondering if someone has thought about this. What do you think watches need that no one has invented yet... A sun rise and sun set indicator would be useful, but some one alredy manage to invent that. So whats missing what do you need? What would make your life better or simpler? Here's what I need:
1- Flippers game on a dial, just to burn time.
    2- birthday's indicator of 5 persons
3- a watch that writes you phone number or bank account number on paper like that Jaquet-Droz automaton kid.

    You never know who's reading...

Should borrow from spring drive and make LED lume. If it last as long as LED or LCD TVs your lume will be super bright forever and easy to service if a bulb goes out.

When power reserve is dead the lights are out. But the lights get brighter after each wind of the crown.

Have an LED power reserve too. And on or off switch for the lume.

I'd love to see an affordable 3D moon phase! If Seagull can make <$1k tourbillons, it should be very well possible to take a regular moon phase, add two bevel gears and replace the moon phase disc with a small ball for a reasonable price. The 3D moon phase is still a complication reserved to the $15k+ segment, think Van der Klaauw or De Bethune. It should be very feasible to do that a lot cheaper.

I just posted this hypothetical in a thread about the new Omega SMP: a quick-set date and an independent hour hand.

Affordability for some complications. Why do we need tens of thousands at a minimum just to get the cheapest of minute repeaters, perpetual calendars or tourbillons from Europe?

That's what sells them now, luxury and complication for the sake of luxury and complication. It is cool, but unless a non luxury watch company has the ability to build something like that it won't get any cheaper. Seiko's latest releases have even been working the midrange market into a higher price bracket. I love watches, but the way the market for watches works is depressing. It's probably the only hobby industry that is worse than cars.

Cool as hell. Seiko should start incorporating LED lume in their spring drive sport models but make it look like regular lume.

I can see number 2 causing a few problems. “You’ve got so and so’s birthday on your watch but not mine”
