    What's your birth year watch?

I was wondering how many people own a birth year watch? Wrist shots welcome.

I'm not much of a vintage watch guy, but is it weird to buy a 29 year old watch simply to have a birth year watch? I'm tempted to make the purchase...

I don't have one, but I would strongly consider an Explorer 1016 if I could find one in good condition.

I would love to own a A386 made in 1969, but at least I have the next best option.

I don't have one as I'm nervous about old watches but there are some Seiko divers and Rolex 5513 as well as some speedy from my birth year (1985)

Before I get hit with the dinosaur and sundial gags I’ll just say that there’s nothing from that far back that appeals to me.

Same. My birth watch is the Apollo XI 20th anniv watch... my watch is too old for me.

I was born in an unfortunate era where things were ugly.
1974 was not a good fashion year.

I'm lucky. My grandfather got a watch in 1977, same year I was born. Now I have the watch - heirloom and birth-watch all at once.

Not weird at all. Here's my 1964 Seikomatic Weekdater. I found it in fantastic condition and very affordable. The Speedy would be a fantastic addition.

I would love to have a birth year Speedmaster (or any Omega for that matter), or possibly a vintage Turtle from that year at some point. For now my birth year watch is a simple hand-wound Timex that I picked up cheap, though I actually quite enjoy it.
