Where can I find an upmarket version of this Timex?

This is exactly the kind of piece I've been looking for. Midsize (35mm), classic styling, super legible and day/date. Except I'd prefer a watch that has all the things WIS generally prefer (good build, quality movement, adequate water resistance, sapphire, etc etc etc)?

    Any ideas?

Nomos Club comes in pretty close at 36mm.

Tissot Everytime has a similar flavor as well.

Buy the Timex. You dig the looks and it's less then $50.

My mind when straight to the Stowa Partito! This is a winner!

As noted, the style of that Timex is essentially the signature style of Mondaine--any number of their offerings would fit your requirements.
