    White dials out of fashion?

Why is it that is seems as though the black face dial is the norm? Where are all the white dials? Its funny because I think the general image that people have of typical a watch is with a white face and perhaps a leather strap. But in reality I would say 80% of all the watches are black dials (15% blue), and maybe 5% white! Just scroll through WRUW and count for yourself.

Anyhow, I will just leave that out there for you to ponder. Hopefully some conversation will come of out it.

I would say the nicest looking watch out there a white dial IWC ;)

I'd say my watches are about half dark, half white/silver.

I have six watches. Three have white dials. That's like almost half my collection...

Why is it that in the WRUW there are mostly black dials? Do you guys like your black dials more?

I own more silver/white (~1/3) than black (slightly less than <1/3). The balance includes blue, green, grey, brown, beige and MOP. Today a white dial is on my wrist.

Three black dials, two white and one blue, but my white dials are my favorites. Just like the brightness and crispness of a white dial.
