Will the Metal Expansion Band Make a Comeback?

What do you gents think? Seems like almost everything else has been revisited. I think a shrewd microband could do it well

No. Now that I'm not a kid, I have hair on my wrist that I'd like to keep.

You can get watches with metal expansion bands, in the cheap watch section in Walmart.

I've got a Speidel Twist-o-flex on my 420 cased Vostok Scuba Dude and I love it. I don't like the expanding bracket that attaches over the spring bar as that will eventually wear into the lugs. One watch maker that I know opined that it takes about 10 years of wear to ruin the lugs of most watches. So, yeah, I know that there's that Hodinkee article with one on a Speedie but I wouldn't put one on a Speedie or any other really nice watch.

Having said that, I'm looking to pick up a Gay Freres bracelet replica for one of my nicer watches and can't really tell if it employs a similar expanding bracket for the spring bar.
Wear that which you feel is groovy, get down with your bad self, and shake your money maker if it makes sense for you to do so.

I suspect it will become slightly more popular as an intriguing retro feature. But it won't regain the popularity it once enjoyed.

I’m scared to even try - I’d think it would grab hair all the time
