Wire Lug Design watch (Monoposto) with bracelet?

    Hello Everyone,

I am in need of some advice regarding my Autodromo Monoposto.

I was thinking if anyone has "successfully" pulled off a stainless steel bracelet with a wirelug designed watch case. I would love to try it out on my Monoposto, but I am a bit stuck between designs and kind of in a ditch as to where are reputable bracelet dealers etc...

    Help me out!

Attached are some photos of my watch and a couple of bracelets I've found from StrapCode.com.

    My wants:
-The whole case is polished, that means the bracelet must have polished bits if not all.
    -"butterfly" style deployment clasp
    -Reasonably priced.

Of the two I posted, I like the design of the brushed steel one but.. There are no polished bits.

What do you guys think? If anyone has done this before, please post photos!

    Cheers and happy weekend!
    Best regards,
    Ericson

    Interesting idea......Have you considered mesh?

I am voting for mesh and think it might look really cool. Most bracelets might look out of place with the "dainty" wire lugs.

I'm pretty confident that a proper link bracelet would look awkward. A beefy one like the super engineer would probably be terrible. If you get links, they need to be as slim as possible -- not something designed for a diver like the super engineer.

I agree with the others that mesh would work better. It would need to be fairly slim mesh as well -- again, not something thick intended for a tool watch (like "shark mesh").

tl;dr: Wire lugs will look silly with a thick bracelet.

My fears exactly! Mesh seems so "old man" like. I need to see it. I thought the thickness of the super engineer could also be overkill.

So has anyone used strap code before? They've got some mesh options too.

Yes....Yes I have, my mesh came from them.

They make great products, but they're usually intended for beefier watches than yours.

Mesh is "old man"? Huh, I don't make that connection at all. Were mesh straps popular a long time ago or something? They seem underused to me.
