Is this wise? Selling my Breitling Navitimer Olympus for cash + Damasko

Ever since getting my Rolex SubC 114060, have experienced a considerable degree of ennui about my watch collection. Basically, as I've found that as the Rolex is both flashy and incredibly versatile, I don't need my other watches as much anymore. I've been toying with the idea of downsizing my collection considerably, possibly even down to three watches: a Diver, a Chrono and a Dress and using the remaining cash for other things.

I've already sold several of my watches. Next up on the possible chopping block is my Breitling Navitimer Olympus:

The proceeds of which may even go to cheaper, more humble-looking white-faced chrono, such as a Damasko DA57 on bracelet, for days when I don't necessarily want to advertise that I'm wearing an expensive watch.

Is this a wise decision, or am I just experiencing my mid-life crisis early?

I sold my Electric Blue Seamaster for much the same reason (lack of wear) about a year after I got my Sub. While i can certainly live without it, I regret having sold that watch.

You have an additional kicker of wanting to get down to 3 watches, plus, I assume, a beater. If that is really your goal, and not a current thinking thing, the watch shown would make a nice beater. I would sit on the decision for at least 6 months to see if my mind changed.

I would, because I could actually read the time on the Damasko due to what kclee referred to above! But if your eyesight hasn't changed with age or you wear glasses full time anyway, put the Breitling on a really nice leather strap to change it up and take some bling off!

If you are not wearing the other watches it makes sense to consolidate.

Simplify! Get down to three watches, see how it goes for awhile...it can't hurt, right?

Wow, that is one complex display and I am guessing it is a type of watch you own for a while, then the novelty wears off and you flip it. I am following similar path to you and heading for just three watches, but never wear dress watch so will have beater (JSAR), quality quartz (Sinn UX) and if I can afford it a DSOM for my automatic. As for the Domasko, if you are not sure I would say wait until you are.
