    Which would you choose?

    So much choice....
    Thinking of getting a Panerai.

My preference is Pam 183 because of the sandwich dial BUT owner is a female user and she do not have the original strap. Have the original box, papers and everything though ( US$3200 )
Pam 380, this dude have the perfect set. Box,papers, straps and everything. (US$3000)
Pam 754 - Brick and Mortar shop selling so can safely say is 100% genuine. (US$3800)
Pam 1000 - Friend selling but not fan of that style crown lock ( US$3200 )

Outside choice is the IWC Spitfire but screw that, look like my Oris.

And the Breitling Navitimer but man the ones with wings are soo overpriced right now. :(

Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer is freaking gorgeous though.

    Which would u guys choose?

I wouldn't choose any of them, but you should choose the one that makes you feel best and has the fewest "buts..."

Not sure I follow why gender has anything to do with a watch's prior ownership (given equal condition), but if you like the sandwich dial, get that one. You can always add an OEM strap later, or have fun with a variety of aftermarket straps. I don't consider the lack of OEM strap (or prior female ownership) to be material.

    This is a difficult one..

For me it would be a toss between the PAM 183 and the PAM 754. The missing strap wouldn't bother me, and I'm a sucker for display casebacks if the movement is beautifully finished like the OP XI. But buying new from an AD plus the in-house 3 days movement are also strong arguments. Hard to say.. Sandwich dial isn't a benefit in my opinion, the painted PAMs are just as fantastic, if not better.

But as owner of an F-series PAM 111 (pre-sandwich) I'm biased..

    Re: Which would you choose?

I’d go pam 183,bargain a bit more and get an OEM strap separately

I’m an old skool pam guy though...

Not talking about her gender but the strap she had.
Apparently the strap provided to her are strap for female, and that she didn't have the original strap.

I was thinking even without the strap, the price is a bargain right?

Well, if you find the Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer to be "gorgeous" then save and go for the Ulysse Nardin.

Getting expensive watches with non-OEM bad straps is always a bum deal.

I’d normally agree, but Panerai might be the only brand exception. I took my original strap off right away and now have too many straps to count. That’s the fun part - changing up the look whenever you want!
