Would you give up your speedy for a JLC Polaris chrono

I'm thinking about giving up my beloved speedy pro for a JLC polaris chrono once its available on the used market.

I wont keep both - gotta keep my collection small - no need for two chronos

My speedy is my daily so the JLC would have to awesome that role. But I could used my 14060 as my daily

Which dial should I consider (black or the lovely blue)

guys (and gals) help me with the pros and cons

A true first world dilemma, as are most of the "problems" here--Keep the speedy.

I'd keep the Speedy for a number of reasons. The #1 reason is that you referred to it as "your beloved" Speedy. Why risk messing that-up?

I’d recommend the memovox over the chrono, but either way definitely keep the Speedy if you can. My collection has evolved quite a bit over the years but the two constant members are a Speedy and the Seadweller/Submariner.

Not as I own a Speedy but if I did I wouldn’t part with it.

I hear you, when I first started I had a ton of microbrands in my box. But I started to chose quality over quantity.

I guess I should have listed whats in my box

    JLC memovox - white face
Rolex - SD (16600), LV, sub nodate (16610), green Milgauss, OP39 grape, 1675
    IWC big pilot, slevin
Omega speedy pro, & vintage gold seamaster
    Poljot - scuba dude
Pam 005 and 243 ( i actually use for diving)
gshock - king, dee & ricky

BTW you have an awesome collection the overseas in the only thing on my wish list this year. It was the new pepsi sub but I'm not paying 25% over MSRP.

The JLC is certainly a very sharp watch. But if it were me, I probably wouldn't sell my Speedy for it. And at 42mm I'm out anyway.

I spents an hour watching videos and reading up on this watch.

The speedy is just so damn comfortable.

Look wise the JLC looks like a sharper watch, but of course, I need to see it in person.

    Should it replace your speedy?

    Probably not

The JLC is a beauty there is no doubt. However, I couldnt give up a Speedy for it. The Speedy is such an icon and if you sold it most lie,lay you would regret it and possibly buy one back. I’d keep the Speedy for sure

I'll go against the majority opinion here. That JLC with blue dial on bracelet would be spectacular if you ask me and I would definitely choose that over the Speedy
