    would you sell?

I've been pondering whether or not to sell a watch from my collection. The issue with the watch is that the current market value has increased much more than the original price.

If a watch in your collection has increased in value too much, would you consider selling it because it may be too valuable to wear or keep it?

If you do not wear it often, then you may as well cash it in for another Watch that you will wear regularly.

If you don't wear it, or if you don't feel compelled to wear it, then sell it

If you do not use it and will not use it sell it. Simples.
If I fail to reply to your inane post just assume you are on the ignore list.

Sell it. Rarely do watches increase in value and the increases may not be sustainable over time.

The value in relation to original price wouldn’t make my decision.

If you don’t wear it, sell it. If you do, keep it.

    Re: would you sell?

If you don’t wear it, and don’t plan to wear it in the future, why not sell it? Discontinued watches usually hit a bit of a “bubble” with value soon after they’re discontinued, so take advantage of the market!

Just ask yourself which of the two options below will make you happier:
Keeping this particular watch (regardless of the purpose you are keeping it for) or receiving the currently higher market value.

    Re: would you sell?

To me, there could be no such thing as a watch "too valuable" to wear or to keep--after all, it's just a watch--so a watch being too valuable would not cause me to sell it. The only reason I would sell a watch is simply that I don't like it as much as I thought it would, when I bought it, which, in every case, means it's heading out the door, sooner or later.
