    Would you wear this?

About a year ago I bought this Bulova during a clearance sale at the mall. At 130$...It was a no brainer. Since I was looking for a vintage sized piece it was the perfect fit (34mm). I wore it around the house for a couples of days. Now, nearly a year later the watch is sitting in my drawer.

Would you personally wear it? I know that steel/white/gold is not everyone cup of tea...still the watch is by no mean gaudy. Also, would she look out of place on the wrist of a 21 years old student?

Some shots on the wrist (6'25):

    Thank you,

    Phil

I wouldn't, looks dated in my view but that shouldn't matter if you like it.

Not that I care for what people think. Still, I like the size, but something in the design makes me say no.

    Size looks good.
I think it has to do with that integrated bracelet and the gold markers on the bezel.

I wouldn't wear it, but that's only because I dislike integrated bracelets. Nothing wrong with it otherwise.

The bracelet isn't that bad except for the clasp (jewelry clasp).

looks good. a little retro 80s 90s, but so what? it looks classy and fits your wrist beautifully. probably not an every day watch but every once in a while for a change of pace. I'm sure you'll get compliments.

    Re: Would you wear this?

Sorry, I wouldn't. Part of it is the bracelet -- it's like an imitation H.R. Giger style element but clumsier. A lot of it has to do with the bezel, though. Small gold-colored accents like those only make it more obvious that there's no gold on the watch at all, and that it's only placed on a steel bezel. I'll bet the bezel doesn't rotate, either, right? A knurled edge on a stationary bezel only clutters the face while inviting people to vainly attempt to turn it. Plus, it looks like unfinished, cast metal (even if it isn't), which I expect is the cheapest way to make a metal part.

Sometimes gold accents work well. Sometimes extra bezel markings look good, too. This example succeeds at neither of those things. IMO, as usual.

    Re: Would you wear this?

Personally, I wouldn't wear it because it is two tone and because it looks like an older style. Two tone doesn't really jive with 21 to me and I think if you are going to wear gold on a case or bracelet it should be solid gold. That said, I don't think it looks bad, I just wouldn't choose to wear it very often if I had other watches to pick from.
