    Wrist vs pocket watches

Which do you prefer? Personally, I prefer pocket watches. I don't know why, I just always feel awkward with a watch on my wrist.

I prefer wrist watches, only when lecturing I look at a pocket watch just to check I am keeping right to the timetable.

I wouldn't know where to keep a pocket watch. I'm wearing slimfit jeans and I already need to stuff a wallet, a mobile phone, my keys and my asthma inhaler in there...

    So wrist watch for me.

I've never had any desire to own a pocket watch. They're nice - but not for me.

I love pocket watches but since I don't have a 3 piece suit any more, it's hard to wear one fashionably.
I suppose I could get out my Lima steam shovel watch fob and put it in my pocket, but I've already got 2 sets of keys in there. Better to wear a wristwatch and display my pocket watches in a nice case or two.

I have 2 pocket watches, both are in leather cases to attach to my belt. only used one once, so wristwatches win the day for me..

Wrist. I have two family heirloom pocket watches. I have never worn them. They are for collection purposes only. I can't see myself ever carying around a pocket watch anytime soon.

    Pocket: 1921 Elgin 313 / 1946 Hamilton 992B Railway Special
Wrist: Omega Speedmaster Date (3210.50), Tag Heuer Carrera Twin-Time,Seiko Spirit SCVS0123, Fortis Pilot Pro PVD, Armani Dress, Swatch Irony Auto Skeleton, Victorinox Chrono Classic, Victorinox Maverick II.

Nothing wrong with it as long as you are not a fan of autos too.

I wear both every day, but my wrist watch is the preferred reference. My pocket watch does double duty as my cell phone.

    I'll stick with wrist, I don't have a three-piece-suit.
