    WWR - watches with recommendations

My short time with the WUS made me thinking. There are some models which are recommended more often than the others. And I have made a short list of the above mentioned.

    Rolex Submarine
    Rolex Explorer II

    Breitling Navitimer
    Breitling Superocean Hertiage
    Breitling Super avenger / seawolf
    Breitling Superocean
    IWC Classic Pilot
    IWC Aquatimer 2000
    Panerai Pam 000
    Bremont Supermarine
    Bell & Ross B02-92

    Entry level luxury

    Sin U2
    Cartier Tank
    Longines Legend Diver

I'm interested to know what method you used to compile your list? Just as a for instance I am surprised to see the Bremont SM there but not the Omega AT?

Yup. The AT 8500 has to be there. It's probably the most recommended watch on WUS. That and NOMOS.

From IWC the Portuguese is their most classic and frequently discussed. The Portuguese chronograph should be included in your mid-luxury list

Stowa Flieger is the most popular pilot's watch on the forum by far

    Tag Monaco is a favorite

Cartier Tank I believe should be moved up to Mid-luxury

    Zenith El Primero is missing

    Rolex GMT-Master is a classic

    NOMOS gets recommended consistently

    Tissot Visodate

Lots of Seiko's missing from that list.. at the very least I would add the MarineMaster and a Spring Drive to the mid-luxury list given their frequent recommendations. You could even go as far as a Grand Seiko given the price points of the other watches on the list.

    Kindest Regards,
    Portauto

Not quite my experience in public; I've never once seen a recommendation for Bell & Ross B02-92 or Breitling Super Avenger, but yes - mostly Seiko, Hamilton, Tissot, Nomos, Longines, Sinn, Stowa - all good value brands. Then Omega and Rolex on the more expensive end.
