Yay or nay ? Formex Element 7750 chrono (Full Steel White)

Looking for a bold 7750 chrono to complement my Damasko DC66. Should have no black dial. Our Flieger Friday writer met the Formex guys at the San Franciso Wind-Up and recommended to have a closer look on their 7750 powered Element line-up. When he mentioned Formex I plunged into my hard disc and it delivered a Formex Fast Track I took a picture of at Baselworld 2008.

Checked their web site and I think that the Full Steel White could be a good deal for €1290.

    Yay or nay ?

    They wear pretty large.

    Solid, well made watches though.

It looks bit big but I’ll tentatively go with Yay.

These certainly look to be well made with great wrist presence, but I lean towards Nay.

For your intended purposes of a ‘bold’ chrono, I think it would definitely work. Looks like an attention getter for sure.

However I’ve never heard of the brand and would personally hesitate to drop that much money on a watch without lots of research.

It’s not my cup of tea, but for a bold watch I’d have to say, yes.

Mmmmh. Didn‘t I mention that I know the brand since 2008? So my homework is done.

Formex has been around for a while. I've owned a Formex chrono for several years. Respectable quality. I would not worry about their watches.

You want to know if bold is OK? Would it be redundant if I were to respond to your question?

I think that watch is a beauty. Off the beaten path, chunky, refreshing original design, no homage going on. If you like it, I'd go for it. The price is very good. I paid more than that for my pre owned Formex chrono.
