I have never seen the Grand Seiko in person - it does not seem to be imported into the US, but have tried the Ludwig on my wrist at an AD, and do own a Nomos Orion.
My current watch collection includes:
Nomos Orion 35 - love it!
Hamilton Intra-matic 38 in both Gold and SS finish
Longines La Grande Classique 34mm Automatic (Roman numerals - 2 hands)
Seiko SARB017 Alpinist - meh
Junghans Max Bill 34 handwind on the "hearing aid" beige strap - like it a lot
Seagull 1963 Chrono
Omega Seamaster 1950s dress watch
Seiko SNK80x Fliegers - Love em!
Stowa Antea Small Seconds
Seiko SKX013 diver
Various somewhat "dressy" Seiko 5s remounted on cheap leather straps - Like em a lot!
Cheap, small, Quartz Seiko homage to the Cartier Tank - like it a lot
Hamilton Khaki Field 38mm handwind (both colors) and automatic - meh, specially the automatic, double meh
I realize the final decision is mine but wanted to poll the forum and get your input.
