Your advise for a large watch for Lady!

My wife decided she wanted to wear a larger (men's style) watch. She s not crazy about diver' style as she thinks the watch will be too heavy. Maybe something more of a pilot or military watch

    Anyway the requirements would be
    - 39 to 40mm diameter (maybe a bit larger but with short lugs)
    - quartz movement (it ll be in rotation with several other watches, and she doesn't want to set it up everytime)
    - price <500 USD
    - something manly but not too bulky (no monster for instance)
    - must look good on leather strap & zulu

    What would be your suggestion?

A little bit larger than you were looking for, but you could pick up a Laco 42mm quartz pilot watch for within your budget

    Kindest Regards,

Hamilton has several quartz watches in their Khaki collection which should suit her. Look at the Khaki Field and Khaki Aviation line. The Aviation Pilot watch is 42mm, but has short lugs and fit well even on my 6" wrist. I'm probably going to pick one up for myself, albeit the automatic version.

    I would suggest the same.

If you were going with an automatic, I'd say Hamilton. If you are going quartz, I return to my trusty favorite...the Tissot PRC200. I love mine. Maybe in the white face as opposed to the black. At 40mm it is men's size without being a monstrosity. Good Luck!

Too many watches, only two wrists and never enough time...

I also suggest the Tissot PRC200. I saw a lady wearing one in a restaurant yesterday, white dial on leather. It looked very nice.

I noticed these Tissot. They look really great in real, especially with black dial.

+1 for the Tissot. I'd also suggest Christopher Ward, they make quartz that come in under your price range.
